Role - Intellectual Property Technical Lead

Job Description for Technical Lead with 5-7 years of relevant IP industry experience 
Qualification: B-Tech/B.E. /M-Tech/M.E. in Computer Science and Electronics
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in Intellectual Property Research
(Specific to Claim chart/EoU experience in Software Domain)
Primary skills:  
  •          Should have extensive working experience on Infringement Analysis, Claim chart preparation (specifically on system side software patents), Product search, Extraction of Evidence of Use (EoU)
  •          Exposure to hands-on experience of patent-product mapping
  •          Should have excellent command over the English Language, both in written and oral communication
  • Should have excellent articulation skills for mapping interpretation.
  • Should be able to execute work assignments independently, with minimum supervision
  • Should be able to grasp the subject matter and escalate any impending process concerns
  •          Should be willing to work as a proactive team member
  •          Exposure to client-facing responsibilities, and feedback analysis 
Engineering background: 
  •          Good knowledge on OpenSource software components including Linux/Unix kernel and its associated sub systems (like file system, power management, Synchronization primitives)
  •          Good knowledge Android Mobile Platform – Applications and Frameworks (at code level)
  •          Hands on experience in C programming and Core Java
  •          Sound knowledge on usage of debuggers.
  •          Knowledge on Linux commands and sys calls usage (externals –Grep, Sed, Awk find dmesg, mount  etc. ) 
Secondary skills:  
  • Prior Art searches like, validity/Invalidity search, Patentability search
  • Hands-on experience working on various patent searching databases such as, Thomson innovation, Total Patent, Orbit etc. 
Job responsibilities: 
  • Understanding the patent subject matter of the patent, and identify the feature of the product which can be used as infringing evidence
  • Extracting evidences from the devices and their documentations
  • Experimenting the device functionality to determine the best possible outcomes for a target patented technology
  • Exhibit willingness to undertake additional responsibilities
  • Ability to lead a team, if required and act as a problem solver
