We currently have openings for MMIS Business Analyst in Springfield IL

Responsibilities:  Medicaid BA expert - will execute Provider Enrollment Services (PES) operations management processes in accordance with the MMIS Provider Engagement Plan. Analyze IMPACT application/modification requirements, update policies and procedures for enrolling service providers.  Assist in the development of the project mechanisms including utilizing and maintaining  databases, leading email correspondence and other relevant tasks as directed. Coordinate and conduct  training sessions for internal and external stakeholders and assist as a primary point of contact for assigned staff. Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)  and liaise with IT/TECH.
Qualifications –
Business Analyst experience – Specifically in Healthcare/Medicaid; able to absorb complex information. Must be able to digest the material and relay that information leaders and document business processing requirements.
Experience developing and implementing reporting mechanisms for notification of providers' healthcare plan statuses, and working with administrators to ensure completion of enrollment has occurred within anticipated target dates.
Experience making decisions that are guided by instructions and practices that may require some interpretation and offering recommendations for solving problems of moderate complexity and importance.
Ability to address problems that are varied and require analysis and or interpretation of situations using direct observation, knowledge and skills based on general precedents.
Capable of analyzing requirements documentation for systems and business processes.
Exceptional ability to organize, prioritize and communicate effectively while meeting deadlines and production goals and prefer experience with commonly-used knowledge of claims examination concepts, practices and rules, exceptions and network contracting .
Ability to assist healthcare staff in meeting government and accrediting agency standards. Ability to verify compliance with state and federal standards.
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook) as well as SharePoint and database creation for managing documents.
Strong verbal and written skill. Ability to explain complex information to a variety of audiences with differing levels of knowledge and understanding. Ability to effectively interact with leadership.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree preferred. Excellent communication skills Proficient in MS office Knowledge of: • HIPAA regulations and healthcare administration functions, including claims processing, eligibility verification, provider verification and preauthorization. • Any prior experience or knowledge on facets will be good to have. • Relational databases (MS SQL, Sybase ASE, etc.)
