Job Description

Key Skills: Project management, Network infrastructure exp., cloud data center must haves.

Essential Functions:
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in computer science, information technology, business
  • management, information systems, or closely related field and eight years of experience
  • in information technology project delivery or project management; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Needs experience and knowledge of Networking infrastructure and hardware
  • Needs experience and knowledge of cloud data centers as well as on-prem servers
  • Need experience with Network and Server Security
  • Understanding of Software Web Applications - Passenger Information System software (PIMS)
  • Experience in documenting Network inventory such as Switches, racks, etc.


Required Skill in:
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with cross functional
  • teams, vendors, outside agencies, community groups and the general public.
  • Interpreting and administering policies and procedures sufficient to administer, discuss,
  • resolve, and explain them to staff and other constituencies.
  • Gathering and developing project requirements and full scope of the project.
  • Analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, projecting consequences of
  • proposed actions and implementing recommendations in support of goals.
  • Researching, analyzing, and evaluating new service delivery methods.
  • A strong background in IT infrastructure, technology deployment or computer science.
  • Accountable for delivering business results on corporate initiatives.
  • Translates project/program requirements into project objectives and tasks, managing
  • task assignment to project resources and reporting on and managing project scope
  • throughout the lifecycle.
  • Drives, tracks / reports progress of multiple projects.
  • Analyzing procedures and data to develop logical solutions to complex systems
  • problems.
  • Managing large, complex projects and making decisions in fast-paced environments.
  • Preparing and analyzing complex data and comprehensive reports.
  • Responding to inquiries and in effective oral and written communication.
  • Working cooperatively with engineering, other departments, Agency officials, and
  • outside agencies.
  • Developing and monitoring project operating budgets, costs, and schedules.
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical project management, plus experience
  • managing complex and large-scale technology projects.
  • Generates alternatives & improves creative solutions.
  • Confidently makes presentations to large and executive audiences

Physical Demands/Work/ Environment:
  • Work will be performed in a standard office environment and/or via a remote office.
  • Although this position will be mostly remote they will be required to work on a ST site, for example in a data center to support the inventory work
  • Could be subject to standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting of objects.
