The Systems Architect primarily works collaboratively to define the architecture of new and enhanced large scale client information technology and database systems comprised of a multi-tier architecture and the integration of highly complex commercial software products and custom code in JAVA, JBoss and SQL Server in order to satisfy business requirements, while adhering to Client’s Reference Architecture, Security and Client Development standards. Systems Architect Role Responsibilities:
Works with Principal Architect to design and implement the architectural approach for overall system development including applications, common frameworks, and components.
Works with Principal Architect and Technical Leads to identify opportunities to develop common code, best SDLC practices and methodologies and communicate those to the entire Solution provider team.
Work with Project Manager, Principal Architects, and other stakeholders/ staff to establish schedules, milestones, and detailed work assignments for Work Definitions.
Meet regularly with project stake holders Group leads and Project Lead to assure that technical direction is in accordance with client vision.
Performs design reviews on applications, frameworks, and components to assure compliance to architectural design and standards.
Work with the Technical Leads to perform code reviews and assure that team internal code reviews are occurring
Works with the Project Manager and Technical Lead to assure that all relevant SDLC artifacts are delivered.
Develop monthly status reports for all architectural activities.
Manage, track and report architectural issues via issue tracking log
Conduct and lead architectural reviews and security reviews
